At first, Ishant was completely taken aback. He was left wondering why someone would offer to adopt him when he already had a family. However, after discussing the matter with his wife, he understood the true intent behind the offer. Ishant's wife explained that the person likely meant to act as a father figure, rather than literally adopting him and giving him their surname.

Once Ishant grasped the situation, he felt embarrassed for his initial reaction. He later met the person again, apologized for the misunderstanding, and they exchanged contact details. Since then, they have remained in touch, and the bond continues to this day.
