Despite weak sales, the company remains confident and is preparing to launch a second-generation variant in 2026. The iPhone Air 2 will feature a dual camera setup on the rear. The iPhone Air launched with a single 48MP camera, and this failed to gain traction. Learning from this, Apple is expected to include an ultra-wide lens alongside the 48MP primary camera in the iPhone Air 2. 

Vapor Chamber Cooling

To prevent overheating, the iPhone Air 2 could feature a vapor chamber cooling system. This will improve the phone's performance and make it easier to handle. 

Big battery

The iPhone Air features a 3,149mAh battery. Apple claims it can deliver 27 hours of video playback. Apple also includes the MagSafe battery pack option with this iPhone, allowing the phone to be charged anywhere. There is speculation that the Air 2 may feature a larger battery, eliminating the need for an additional battery pack.

The price will remain low.

Despite these upgrades, Apple is focused on keeping the price of this phone low. The company believes that the iPhone Air's high price has led to low demand. Its starting price in India is ₹1.19 lakh. To counter the low sales caused by its high price, Apple may launch the Air 2 at a lower price.
