Team India lost in the second T20
England defeated India by 26 runs in the second T20I. Batting first, the England women's cricket team scored 168 runs in their allotted 20 overs. In response, the Indian team's middle order collapsed, managing only 142 runs. With this impressive victory, England leveled the three-match series at 1-1.
England were struggling in the second T20 match of the series. Even reaching 150 seemed difficult, but Freya Kemp wreaked havoc in the final two and a half overs, scoring 39 runs in 13 balls. England's batsmen scored 42 runs in the final 15 balls. This battering in the death overs proved costly for Team India during the chase. Shree Charni took the most wickets for India, taking three.
Team India lost badly.
Chasing a target of 169, Team India saw Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana play short innings. Shefali made 22 and Smriti made 32. Yastika Bhatia was well-established at the crease but had to retire injured at 33.
At one point, India were 115 for 2. This was the start of the collapse, and within the next 30 runs, India lost six wickets. Jemimah Rodrigues managed just one run, and Richa Ghosh was dismissed for eight. The Indian middle order suffered a major setback.
Series tied at 1-1
The Indian team registered an easy 38-run victory in the first T20I. Yastika Bhatia and Jemimah Rodrigues scored half-centuries. However, England bounced back in the second T20I, defeating Team India by 26 runs to level the series at 1-1. The third and decisive T20I will be played on June 2nd.
