India shines in ICC T20 rankings, four Indians among top-7 batsmen; Abhishek is number-1

Indians dominate the T20 rankings.

The Indian team has departed for Ireland for a two-match T20I series. These two matches will be played in Belfast on June 26th and 28th. India, the defending champions, currently holds the top spot in the T20I rankings. Furthermore, if we look at the T20I batting rankings, the Indians also dominate.

Ahead of the T20 series against Ireland and England, take a look at the top 7 T20 batsmen in the world. Indian players have dominated this format to such an extent that four of the top seven players in the rankings are Indians.

Abhishek Sharma is the number 1 batsman.

Abhishek Sharma remains the world's No. 1 batsman. Ishan Kishan, who performed brilliantly in the T20 World Cup, is in second place. Abhishek and Ishan, who occupy the first two positions in the batting rankings, are separated by only four rating points. Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan, who occupies the third position, is also not far behind.

Four Indians in the top-7

Four Indians are among the top seven players in the T20 rankings. Tilak Verma, who captained India A in the recently concluded tri-series, is ranked sixth. Suryakumar Yadav, who has not only been stripped of his captaincy but also dropped from the team, is currently ranked seventh. Nevertheless, Surya has retained his place among the top seven players.

Apart from these four players, no Indian batsman is even included in the top 20 of the T20 rankings. Sanju Samson, who performed strongly in the World Cup, is currently ranked 21st, and Shivam Dube is ranked 27th. Among T20 bowlers, Varun Chakravarthy is ranked second, and Jasprit Bumrah is ranked sixth.
