If you're looking for a new laptop for college or office work within a budget of ₹40,000, don't settle for a second-hand model. There are five excellent laptops available in the market within this price range.
Laptop buying tips
Today, 90% of the world's paperwork and research work is done using laptops. From preparing college assignments to preparing large office files, managing data, and spending hours researching on the Internet, a laptop is essential for every task. There are many types of laptops on the market today, ranging from thousands to millions.
But most people don't have a very high budget. Therefore, they look for a good laptop in the mid-range rather than more expensive options. Currently, there are many laptop options available in the market for around ₹40,000. If you're looking for a new laptop within this budget, consider these five options.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 and Acer Aspire Lite
The first and strongest option in this budget is the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3, which is available in various variants ranging from ₹30,390 to ₹39,499. It features an AMD Ryzen 3 7320U processor, 8GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. Its biggest highlights are its backlit keyboard and pre-installed MS Office 2024, making it very useful for those who study or work late into the night.
The second laptop on the list is the Acer Aspire Lite AL15-53, priced between ₹31,000 and ₹36,999. It features a 13th-generation Intel Core i3-1305U processor, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Despite its 15.6-inch full-HD screen, it weighs just 1.61 kilograms, making it easy to carry in your bag to college or the office every day.
Dell Inspiron 15 and ASUS Vivobook 15
If you want a sturdy laptop that lasts, the Dell Inspiron 15 is a great option. Powered by a 13th-generation Intel Core i3-1305U processor or a 12th-generation chipset, this new laptop is available online and offline for between ₹33,990 and ₹39,500. It features 8GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, Windows 11, and speakers tuned for excellent sound, perfect for online meetings and working on heavy Excel sheets.
Alternatively, you can choose the ASUS Vivobook 15 or Vivobook Go 15, which are available for a price of ₹31,500 to ₹38,990. They feature Intel Core i3-1215U and Ryzen 3 7320U processors, along with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. They feature a sleek design, a 180-degree vertical hinge, and a webcam privacy shutter.
Acer Aspire 3
The Acer Aspire 3 A325-42 and its compact version, the Acer Aspire One 14, are ideal for those who need to use their laptops while traveling. These laptops are readily available in the market for between ₹32,990 and ₹38,470. They feature an AMD Ryzen 3 5400U or 7320U processor, 8GB of RAM, a fast NVMe SSD, and a Full HD IPS display that prevents eye strain. The 14-inch model weighs just 1.48 kilograms.
Keep these things in mind.
Finally, one important piece of advice is to avoid being fooled by an older, refurbished model when spending ₹40,000. All five of the above-mentioned brand-new laptops come with a company warranty, original Windows 11, and at least 8GB of RAM and SSD storage.
