ICC T20 Bowler Rankings: The ICC released the latest rankings on September 17. Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy has become the world's new number one T20 bowler. Kuldeep Yadav has also made a significant jump.

Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy has become the world's No. 1 T20 bowler. The ICC released its latest rankings on Wednesday, September 17. Following his impressive performance in the Asia Cup 2025, Kuldeep Yadav has also made a significant jump in the rankings, moving from 37th to 23rd. Abhishek Sharma remains the No. 1 T20 batsman, but Tilak Varma has dropped two places.

Varun Chakraborty became the number-one bowler in T20.

Varun Chakravarthy conceded just 4 runs and took 1 wicket in his 2-over spell against the UAE. The 34-year-old spinner took 1 wicket for 24 runs in his 4-over spell against Pakistan. He has jumped three places to number one in the ICC T20 bowling rankings. This marks the first time in history that Varun has become the number one bowler.

 

With a rating of 733, Varun has moved to the number one spot, a position previously held by New Zealand's Jacob Duffy. He has slipped to second place. Varun is joined in the top 10 by Ravi Bishnoi, who has dropped two places due to his absence from the Asia Cup squad. Bishnoi has now moved up to number eight.

Kuldeep Yadav reached number 23

Spinner Kuldeep Yadav has reached number 23 with a rating of 604, jumping 16 places. Kuldeep took 4 wickets for 7 runs in 2.1 overs against the UAE in the first match of the Asia Cup 2025. Against Pakistan, he took 3 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs. Kuldeep was named Player of the Match in both matches.

India dominates the all-rounder and batting rankings.

Hardik Pandya remains at number one in the ICC T20 all-rounder rankings. Pakistan's Sam Ayub has gained four places in this list, now at number six. India also holds the top spot in the T20 batting rankings. 

Abhishek Sharma is the number one T20 batsman with a rating of 884. Tilak Varma has dropped two places in this list, dropping from second to fourth. Suryakumar Yadav has also moved up from sixth to seventh.
