LPG Price Today: No change in the price of domestic gas cylinder

There's some relief for LPG cylinder users today. As of September 8, 2026, the price of a 14.2-kg domestic gas cylinder in Delhi is ₹942. Earlier this month, the price remained unchanged.  

This means that if you book a gas cylinder for your home today, you'll have to pay ₹942 for one cylinder in Delhi. However, the price of a gas cylinder may vary in different cities due to taxes and other factors.

How much more expensive has a commercial gas cylinder become?
Meanwhile, the 19-kg commercial gas cylinder used in hotels, restaurants, eateries, and other businesses has become more expensive this month. Its price was increased by ₹9.50 in Delhi starting September 1st. Consequently, the price of a 19-kg cylinder has risen to ₹2,747.50.  

This increase could impact businesses that use large quantities of gas. The increased gas costs could also increase the overall expenses of hotels and food and beverage businesses.

What are the prices in major cities?
Commercial gas cylinder prices have changed in different cities since the beginning of September. A 19-kg cylinder costs ₹2,701 in Mumbai, ₹2,982 in Kolkata, and ₹2,916.50 in Chennai.

A major change in gas booking
has come to light today, marking another significant change for gas consumers. The government has reduced the minimum gap between booking two cylinders in rural areas from 45 days to 25 days. Rural consumers will now be able to rebook gas cylinders after 25 days, just like urban consumers. This change comes at a time when the supply situation in the country has improved, and pending bookings have decreased.
