The government will provide financial assistance for children's education. Children of construction workers registered with the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (DBOCWW Board) will benefit from this scheme. Importantly, eligible students will receive financial assistance ranging from ₹500 to ₹1,000 per month, depending on their class. The last date to apply for this scheme is August 14, 2026.

Not every Delhi resident's children will benefit from this scheme. This educational assistance will only be available to children of construction workers registered with the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. According to the board's official information, financial assistance for education is provided under Rule 281.

The amount of aid provided to students varies depending on their class. Students in classes 1 to 8 will receive 500 rupees per month, which amounts to 6,000 rupees per year. Students in classes 9 and 10 will receive 700 rupees per month, which amounts to 8,400 rupees per year. Students in classes 11 and 12 will receive 1,000 rupees per month, which amounts to 12,000 rupees per year.

To be eligible for this scheme, construction workers must be registered with the Board. To register as a construction worker, they must be between 18 and 60 years of age and have worked in the construction sector for 90 days in the past 12 months. After registration, membership updates are also required.

It states that 50% student attendance is required to receive educational assistance. Eligible students attending recognized private schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Delhi Cantonment Board schools, NDMC and MCD schools can benefit from this scheme.

Eligible workers and students should apply to the relevant district office with the required documents. Since the deadline for applications is August 14, 2026, it's crucial for eligible beneficiaries to apply on time.
