Consequently, the likelihood of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates has diminished significantly. High interest rates diminish the appeal of gold. Meanwhile, India's retail inflation rose to 2.7% in January. Investors will now await US inflation data due on Friday, February 13th, which will determine the short-term direction of gold and silver prices.

The price of 24-carat gold in India has decreased by ₹262 per gram today. With this, the price of 24-carat gold in India is now ₹15,578 per gram. Meanwhile, the price of 22-carat gold in India has fallen by ₹240 per gram to ₹14,280 per gram. Similarly, the price of 18-carat gold has decreased by ₹196 to ₹11,684 per gram.

Silver also declined

In cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad, the price of 10 grams of silver is ₹2800, 100 grams of silver is ₹28,000, and 1 kilogram of silver is ₹280,000.
