Gold Price Today: After rising over the past two days, gold prices in India declined on Thursday. The price of 24-carat gold fell by ₹502 to ₹15,442 per gram. Similarly, the price of 22-carat gold fell by ₹460 to ₹14,155 per gram. Prices have fallen again due to fluctuations in the global market and profit booking.

Market analysts say global trends were the primary reason for today's decline in gold prices. Market sentiment was affected after US President Donald Trump nominated Kevin Warsh as the next chairman of the US Federal Reserve. His nomination as Fed chairman led to speculation about a tighter monetary policy stance. Expectations of higher interest rates typically put pressure on non-yielding assets like gold.
