Water Strike on Pakistan: Flood warning has been issued in many areas of Pakistan. Till now, this dam was closed and water flowing towards Pakistan was stopped.

Water Strike on Pakistan: India has opened three gates of Salal Dam in Reasi, built on Chenab River. Till now, this dam was closed and water flowing towards Pakistan was stopped. India took this step after cancelling the Indus Water Treaty. Now after opening the gates of Salal Dam again, the possibility of flood in POK has increased.

Gate of Baglihar Dam also opened

Now the threat of flood is looming over Pakistan. After heavy rains, India has also opened the gate of Baglihar Dam in Ramban. India has made it clear that the water treaty has been cancelled. Due to this, now it is up to India to decide how much water it releases. Earlier, water was stopped in Chenab and now the dam has been opened. This will send water to Pakistan.

Danger of flood in many areas of Pakistan

This will submerge the low lying areas of Pakistan and Pakistan will not be able to tell India why it released water. This will increase the problems of the people of Pakistan. They will question the Pakistani government for this. Flood warning has been issued in many areas of Pakistan.

After suspending the Indus Water Treaty, India had closed all the gates of Salal and Baglihar dams and stopped the water flowing towards Pakistan. Indus and its tributaries pass through four countries and about 21 crore people are dependent on the water of these rivers.
