Feed Vaibhav Suryavanshi and leave him out...', Sunil Gavaskar's blunt statement.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi should have been given a chance in both matches against Ireland, says legendary Sunil Gavaskar. He added that he should now be played in the first match against England (IND vs ENG 1st T20).

The Indian cricket team was clean-swept in the two-match T20 series against Ireland, and the coach and captain are facing heavy criticism for not featuring Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Sunil Gavaskar is among those who wanted to see the 15-year-old batsman debut against Ireland. He has now made a bold statement, calling for Vaibhav's debut in the first T20 against England on July 1st without delay.

In an interview with a media channel, Sunil Gavaskar said, "Prince Yadav and Suryansh Shedge were the new players in the second match. Prince bowled well, taking three wickets and only got one ball to play, hitting a six. About a month ago, I had said that Vaibhav Suryavanshi should be played in both the matches in Ireland, as he is in excellent form."

According to Gavaskar, Abhishek Sharma could have been dropped in one match and Sanju Samson in the other. He said, "We could have played Abhishek Sharma in one match and Sanju Samson in the other. We could have done that, but we didn't. It's not necessary that Vaibhav Suryavanshi would have guaranteed victory; he could have been dismissed for just 10-15 runs. But if we wanted to try younger players, we could have played Vaibhav in both matches."

Vaibhav Suryavanshi got a chance in the first match against England. Sunil Gavaskar further said, "He will have to play in the very first match against England on July 1, it is a simple matter. Leave out your batsmen who are not in form and give a chance to Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Play your current openers at 1-2, you can send Vaibhav at number 3. But he will have to be given a chance in the very first match."

However, Sunil Gavaskar defended the openers, who failed to open their account in the second match against Ireland. He suggested that a middle-order batsman could be dropped and Vaibhav Suryavanshi could be included. He said, "Your opening pair has performed well over the past year and a half, so dropping them after just two matches is not right."

Gavaskar said, "Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma are fine, but drop one of the middle-order batsmen and give Vaibhav Suryavanshi a chance. This is necessary to give England a shock in the first match. Because if he goes in the first match, the England team will be shaken. Right now, after the Ireland series, England may be a little overconfident. Just like Ireland took advantage of our team's overconfidence, we can take advantage of England's."
