The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a convenient new feature on the HighwayYatra app that allows users to gift FASTag annual passes to friends and family. About the FASTag Annual Pass

The FASTag Annual Pass was originally launched by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on August 15, 2025.

It is specifically for private, non-commercial vehicles, including cars, jeeps, and vans.

How to Gift a Pass

Open the HighwayYatra app and click "Add Pass."

Enter the recipient's vehicle number and contact details.

Complete the transaction through OTP verification.

After this, the pass is automatically activated on the recipient's FASTag.

Activation and Validity

The pass is typically activated within 2 hours of payment.

It is available for a one-time payment of ₹3,000.

It is valid until the vehicle crosses 200 toll plazas (whichever is earlier) and can be used at approximately 1,150 toll plazas across the country.

In just two months since its launch, over 2.5 million users have purchased this pass.

Over 56.7 million transactions have been recorded, reflecting its growing adoption across India.

This feature makes it easier than ever to gift hassle-free travel to family and friends and also encourages seamless and contactless toll payments on national highways.
