Delhi Weather Update- Delhiites get relief from heat even at night, Orange alert issued for heat wave today

By Jitendra Jangid- Friends, as we know that the increasing heat day by day in North India has worsened the condition of the people, Delhiites are constantly facing the wrath of this scorching heat, the temperature remains 45 degrees during the day, while the night temperature also remains uncomfortably high. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that severe heat conditions may persist for the next two days, a possible change in the weather is expected from June 12.

1. Heatwave conditions and orange alert

On Tuesday, Aya Nagar recorded a temperature of 45.5 degrees Celsius, while the Ridge recorded a temperature of 45 degrees Celsius.

Due to high humidity, the "felt" temperature rose to 47.1 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has issued an orange alert for Wednesday, warning of heatwave conditions and strong winds (40 km / h).

2. When will Delhi get relief?

Thursday (June 13):

Partly cloudy sky with winds blowing at 40-50 km/hr and light rain is likely. A yellow alert has been issued.

June 14:

Light rain likely, which may bring some respite from the heatwave. Meanwhile, Delhi's air quality remained in the 'poor' category (AQI 251) on Tuesday.

3. Monsoon expected to re-activate soon After arriving ahead of schedule on May 24, the monsoon has been sluggish since May 26. The IMD has forecast heavy rains over south India (June 12-15) and a slow advance over north India (Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and east Uttar Pradesh by June 15).
