Smart Mobility and Sustainable Development

Announcing the project, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the Metro expansion will modernize and strengthen Delhi's future needs. She stressed that safe, convenient, and timely travel is the government's top priority.

The biggest benefits of this project will be seen in Delhi's air and roads. The opening of the new corridor will reduce the pressure of private vehicles on the roads, which will not only solve the problem of traffic congestion but will also significantly reduce vehicle emissions. This step is a major step in moving Delhi towards sustainable development.

Direct benefits to the public

The Phase 4 expansion will reduce the distance between North, Central, South Delhi, and the NCR. Along with saving travel time, the public will also receive a cheaper and pollution-free transportation option. This investment of over ₹14,000 crore will prove to be a milestone in making Delhi's infrastructure world-class.
