The central government has made an important announcement to increase the Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA). This decision will directly increase the monthly salaries of thousands of employees working in 32 major government companies, including GAIL, BHEL, IRCTC, AAI, IOCL, and NTPC.

This decision by the central government has provided significant financial relief to government employees during the festive season. Implemented at a time of rising inflation, this DA hike will significantly increase employees' salaries, bringing joy to millions of families. Officers and supervisors of Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs), or companies owned by the central government, will benefit from this dearness allowance increase.

Millions of central government employees across the country are awaiting a hike in their dearness allowance in July. They expect a 2 to 3 percent increase in their dearness allowance. Meanwhile, the government has announced an increase in dearness allowance for employees of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). Their salaries will now increase. This decision was taken in light of rising inflation. This will reduce the impact of inflation on government employees' monthly expenses.

Now which employees will get how much dearness allowance?

Dearness Allowance (DA Hike Latest News) has been increased for CPSE employees falling under the pay scales of 1987, 1997, 2007 and 2017. This hike has been done on the basis of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI). Dearness Allowance has been fixed at Rs 18,298 for employees in the pay scale of 1987. Dearness Allowance (CPSE Salary Revision) has been increased by 476.9% for employees in the pay scale of 1997. Dearness Allowance has been increased by 241.7% for employees in the pay scale of 2007. Dearness Allowance (DA) of employees in the 2017 pay scale has been increased to 55.7%.

How much will the salary increase be?

An increase in DA directly means an increase in salary. The Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) of these employees is increased from time to time based on the All India Consumer Price Index (AICI), and their salaries also keep changing from time to time. According to the 2017 pay scale, if an employee's basic salary is ₹60,000, then at the rate of 55.7%, the employee will get approximately ₹33,420 as DA. If this amount is included in the basic salary, then he will get ₹93,420. Other allowances will be given separately. Whereas, if an employee with the 2007 pay scale has a basic salary of ₹15,000, then at the rate of 241.7%, he will get approximately ₹33,255 as DA. If this amount is included in the basic salary, then he will get ₹51,255. Other allowances will be given separately.
