The Cockroach Janata Party announced a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Saturday (October 10) demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Ahead of this protest, the government and administration made elaborate arrangements and transformed Delhi into a cantonment. Meanwhile, an order was issued to close 45 metro stations in Delhi. Following this closure, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has issued a major statement on the CJP protest.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said of the Cockroach Janata Party's protest, "Delhi will not be held hostage. The people here have voted for development and Prime Minister Narendra Modi." The CM tweeted, "Rejected leaders Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal, along with their B-team, the CJP, want to turn Delhi into an arena. Why are these leaders bent on venting their frustration over their nonstop defeats on the public? What is the fault of Delhiites who are troubled by the chaos on the roads?"

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta further wrote, "Who will take responsibility for the problems faced by employees going to work, daily wage labourers and patients reaching hospitals? Are your political ambitions bigger than the livelihood, security and peace of lakhs of families in Delhi?"
He further wrote, "Delhi voted for development. Due to the unprecedented blessings of the people, Narendra Modi became the first leader in the history of Indian electoral politics to become the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. But the parties plagued by nepotism and opportunism are unable to digest this public support."
The CM further said, "Arvind Kejriwal, a seeker of anarchy and one who calls himself the master of Delhi, is attempting to disrupt the peace and security of Delhiites for political gain. It should be noted that he will not be allowed to hold Delhi hostage. The politics of spreading anarchy and challenging the mandate under the guise of democracy will be strongly countered."
