CJP protest impacts several trains from Patna to Delhi, cancelled

Three trains from Patna to Delhi have been cancelled for today (Friday). These include the Sampoorna Kranti Superfast Express, Tejas Rajdhani, and Amrut Bharat. The Magadh, which runs from Islampur, is also cancelled.

 

 

 

Several trains have been cancelled in Delhi tomorrow (Saturday) due to protests by the CJP. Several metro stations in Delhi are also reportedly closed. The impact of this is being felt in Bihar as well. Today (Friday), three trains from Patna to Delhi have been cancelled.

These four Delhi-bound trains include the Sampoorna Kranti Superfast Express, Tejas Rajdhani, and Amrit Bharat Express. Information regarding the cancellations has been posted at Patna Junction. These trains were scheduled to depart Delhi this afternoon and were scheduled to arrive in Delhi tomorrow morning or afternoon. The Magadh Express is also cancelled. This train runs from Islampur via Patna.

 

Railways has taken this decision due to the protest.

It should be noted that these four trains have been cancelled from Patna Junction, but the total number of cancelled trains is much higher. Many trains scheduled to depart for Delhi today from various stations across the country have been cancelled. Five trains on the Mumbai-Delhi route have also been cancelled.

In addition to trains, the CJP's protests in Delhi have also affected the metro. A request has been made to close 57 metro stations in Delhi, citing the CJP's protests as the reason. RJD MP Manoj Jha responded to this. Tagging the Delhi Police, he said there is a fundamental difference between a gathering and a violent mob. Manoj Jha called peaceful assembly a constitutional right.

It should be noted that tomorrow (October 9, 2026), the CJP has announced a protest at Jantar Mantar. They are demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Anesh Kumar. The opposition is continuously attacking the government over the SIR process. Prior to the CJP, the opposition also held a massive protest in Delhi. Several leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, were detained. Last Thursday (October 8, 2026), the Grand Alliance also held a march in Patna.
