Indian bowlers have completely destroyed Australia A. Arshad Khan and other bowlers combined to restrict the Kangaroos to 275 runs. Despite half-centuries from Sam Constas and Josh Phillipe, the Australian team failed to complete the full 50 overs. Australia lost their last seven wickets for 68 runs. Arshad Khan was the most successful bowler for India, dismissing three batsmen.
In this match being played in Puducherry, Australia A won the toss and elected to bat first. The Kangaroos lost Mitchell Owen early, but then a strong 101-run partnership was formed between Sam Constas and Josh Philippe. Philippe scored 58 and Constas 67. At one point, the Australian team was in a commanding position, having scored 168 runs in 30 overs.

The team was heading towards a 300-plus score, but after Constas's wicket fell, the Kangaroos began losing wickets in quick succession. None of the last six batsmen could even reach 20 runs. However, in reply, Team India collapsed for 149 runs, suffering a massive 125-run defeat. To stay in the series, the Indian team must win the second ODI by scoring 276 runs.
