England spinner Adil Rashid has broken Pakistan's Haris Rauf's world record to become the bowler with the most T20 International wickets against a single Test-playing team.

Adil Rashid Breaks Haris Rauf's World Record: West Indies defeated England by 30 runs in the 15th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. England spinner Adil Rashid took two wickets in this match. By taking the first wicket in the form of Roston Chase, this 37-year-old experienced spinner broke the world record of Pakistan's Haris Rauf. Rashid has become the bowler who has taken the most wickets in T20 International against any Test playing team. He took 2 wickets for 17 runs in four overs bowling for England in the Group-C match played in Mumbai.

Adil Rashid has taken his T20I wicket tally against the West Indies to 42. He has played 26 T20Is against the West Indies so far. Pakistan fast bowler   Haris Rauf has taken 40 wickets in 20 T20Is against New Zealand. Rashid Khan holds the world record for the most wickets in T20Is against any Test-playing team. He has taken 46 wickets in 21 T20Is against Ireland. However, 11 of these 46 wickets came in 2017, when Ireland was not a Test-playing team.

Adil Rashid completed 400 wickets in T20 cricket

The wicket of West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase was also special for Adil Rashid, as it marked his 400-wicket milestone in T20 cricket. Rashid became only the second bowler to achieve this feat for England. Before him, only Chris Jordan had achieved this feat. Adil Rashid now has 401 wickets in 358 T20 matches, while Jordan has taken 446 wickets in 431 T20 matches. Adil is also England's leading wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup, with 33 wickets. He surpassed Chris Jordan, who has taken 31 wickets, to become the No. 1 bowler in this regard.
